Not all of the search engines accept submissions. Such search engines generally pull data from other search engines or use search technology from a common provider of search results, such as Inktomi. Other pay-per-click search engines, such as Overture, require deposit of funds in order to be listed. Some search engines, such as LookSmart, may require credit card payment of additional fees in order to submit a website. And, finally, SE Commando includes many international versions of popular search engines (such as MSN and Google), for which it is only necessary to submit to the main search engine.
